There are two data sets that have been incorporated into DNA Consultants’ method.
White – Swiss population data represent DNA samples from 206 Caucasian individuals in the mountainous European nation of Switzerland, officially named the Swiss Confederation. Samples were provided by the Swiss Red Cross in Basel, Switzerland, and by the Dept. of Forensic Medicine at the Institute of Legal Medicine in the Swiss capital of Bern.
The Switzerland (n = 402) population data represent DNA samples from 402 randomly selected, unrelated individuals of Switzerland. STR frequencies were reported in the most recent European database release of the Working Group of the European Network of Forensic Institutes STRbase Project ().
