Flexible Plan Genealogy

Flexible Plan Genealogy

For customers new to genealogy: Begin with a one-hour consultation with an expert genealogist to discuss your research ideas, family history, and goals. Your genealogist will help you determine an appropriate research approach, provide an estimate of the hours or phases your project may require, and explain our intake and research process so you know what to expect.

For current customers: Continue the story! Use the Flexible Plan to purchase additional research hours or fund the next phase of an existing project, whether you want to extend a family line, pursue a new lead, or explore another part of your family history. Please consult with your genealogist before purchasing additional hours so that you can agree on the appropriate scope and estimated research time.

Not every genealogy project requires the time or scope of our Vital Records Family Tree or Custom Genealogy Services. If you are interested in building a basic four- to six-generation family tree, verifying research you or a family member have already completed, breaking through a specific research roadblock, or simply determining where to go next with an existing tree, Flexible Plan Genealogy may be the right place to start.

Your genealogist can help define a focused research goal and recommend an appropriate number of hours or research phases. And if your initial research uncovers new questions or promising leads, you can easily add additional hours and continue your project from there.
