Carney DNA Project was launched in 2005 by the MS Carney Girls as the first Carney DNA project. We were soon joined by our TN Carney kin. These Founding Members sponsored the project for the Southern Carneys.We extended the invitation to cousins who had already tested to post results at no charge. However to get a copy of the project report at the end of the project goals you must join Group Project. In our second year we are now expanding our research into all the Carney Kin and are starting another phase of membership. This
Carney Kin Members will allow you to join the project just by paying a test fee. We will post your results and Ancestor chart of your line. In order to share in the Project reports and research you can up grade to a Founding Member at any time. We want all Carney lines to test so we can solve which Carney lines we have. We have also uploaded the
Founding Carney Members results to the Irish Heritage DNA project
We also expanded the project to include a study of Kin in the Gulf Coast Colonies that does not require a membership fee as it does not receive a report on the Carney project

Male and Female Members are welcome. For the purpose of this study it will be the
Male Y-Str Test.. Females may sponsor a test for your nearest male relative; a parent, uncle, brother,or cousin. You may post results from other labs also
By being part of the group we are all contributing to the project .The Reason for the Join Project fee is that DNA Consulting is the only DNA company to offer an exclusive report with analysis at the end of the project to members. Even if you don't test you can get a report by joining group project! The Join Group Link also can be used to sponsor a test for a participant. For more specific info click on: Carney Surname Project Group membership price for the Basic Male Y-STR 13 Marker Test other discounting pricing info available for other test. The other Marker test is a 37 Marker your choice for now can be added later if desired, but cost more as an add- on .I would like one participant from each surname at this marker. Other Tests available that may meet individual options to exploring your own DNA are MTDNA and SNP Tests and more which also qualify for discounts ALL Carney Males welcome to join group.
