Basic Combination Ancestry Report With Y-STR & mtDNA Test

With the Basic Combination Ancestry Report, you send in a single specimen that is analyzed according to both your mother's and father's gene type -- your mitochondrial DNA history and your family pedigree. On the male side, you receive a detailed historical report on your family last name, based on worldwide matches in the Y-STR Haplotype Reference Database in Berlin. On the female side of your family tree, you get an analysis of your maternal ancestor's origin, settlement and migration patterns since the last Ice Age, based on the Mitochondrial DNA Concordance and other resources. If you are female, not male, you must split the test with a male-linked relative such as a brother or uncle. Includes two DNA test kits , Y-STR screening for our World-Match markers, sequencing of Hypervariable Region I, certificate(s) of testing and a publishable comprehensive ancestry report...also of course, articles & references, suggestions for further reading, and lifetime storage of your DNA sample(s).

This is an Excellent product test to do! I had one done on myself and then my father. This helped me to connect to the Right Adams line to work on my paper trail. Without this I would still be bogged down in the Related to Presidents Adams Legends.Now I can compare the data with the Adams DNA project.There is more work to do of course but this is top knotch for breaking down the brickwalls on common surnames. My Mtdna also gave me interesting insights as to how my mothers, line got to the continent.
