Black Dutch Ancestors
DNA Consulting confirmed my own research of my my family history. It all started with fibromyalgia which led me to take a second look at my family roots when I discovered this was a Melungeon disease. It is important to know your family history and the medical conditions you might expect because of that. Turns out all of my family names were at least suspected to be Melungeon (see Brent Kennedy The Melungeons)and came from the Appalachians. Hardly anyone seems to know we exist, so now if I can only get the rest of my family to believe it & get some medical screening because of this I will feel like I have done a good deed.
